CONDITIONS OF RENTAL

1. PAYMENT

A deposit of at least 50% of the agreed tariff is required to secure the booking. Receipt of a deposit indicates that you have read and agreed to these terms. Payments can be forwarded directly to the nominated bank account of the individual property owners and confirmaiton sent once receipt is confirmed. All accounts have been verified with Getaway Hunter. For international transfers a SWIFT code can be supplied on request. Sorry, we do not accept credit card payments or personal cheques. Account details can be supplied on request.

2. SECURITY DEPOSIT/BOND

A security bond is payable at the same time as your final payment. The Security Deposit/Bond must be paid in full at time of final payment to proceed with your booking. The bond is easiest secured as Electronic Funds Transfer to our nominated account and will be refunded directly to your account within 7 days of departure pending a full property inspection. This payment may be used to cover incidental items such as (but not limited to):  any breakages or damage incurred during your stay, replacement keys, excess garbage, emergency call out fees or cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning. Getaway Hunter will notify the guest in writing prior to using any part of this security bond for any of the above charges.

3. GUEST RESPONSIBILTY

You must be at least 21 years of age to book any accommodation with Getaway Hunter. If a guest is booking on behalf of other people, the person booking the accommodation is responsible for the property, and for making all guests aware of house rules and these terms & conditions.
Getaway Hunter takes no responsibility for any personal injury that may be incurred whilst staying at the property.

Getaway Hunter take no responsibility for the guests’ personal property.
If property is left at the houses and needs to be returned, this will be done at the guests cost.
Any property left behind can be sent to you through Australia Post at a charge.

4. CANCELLATIONS

Where a guest elects to cancel a booking outside 6 weeks prior to the date of arrival, any monies paid are refunded in full less a $60.00 administration fee. If cancellation occurs within 6 weeks prior to the date of arrival, any monies paid are forfeited in lieu of the property being re-let for the same period and at the same tariff. In this instance monies paid are refunded less a $60.00 administration fee. If the property is not successfully re-let monies paid are forfeited in full. Getaway Hunter will make every effort to re-let the property prior to the date of arrival.

Owner/managers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel a booking provided they can supply justifiable cause to the guest. Cancellations by the owner cannot occur within 6 weeks of the date of arrival unless the property cannot be presented as advertised due to an ‘act of god’ or other unforeseen circumstance. In this instance Getaway Hunter will provide alternatives to your accommodation in a similar price bracket, style, size and quality.

5. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURE TIMES

Occupation commences from 2.00 pm on the date of arrival (unless prior arrangements have been made with Management.) Details on the collection of keys will be emailed after receipt of your final payment and bond. The premises must be vacated by 10.30 am sharp on the date of departure, unless alternate arrangements have been made with Management. Un-notified, late departures may be charged an additional tariff.

6. NUMBER OF PERSONS

Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the confirmation notice or subsequently agreed in writing. It is against regulations for more persons to occupy a property than there are beds to accommodate them. No mattresses, tents or caravans, or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. The property rented is to accommodate only the number of persons specified for the period stated and the person’s name that the booking is in, is solely responsible. If you are found to have more persons on the premises than specified you will lose your security deposit/bond and be asked to vacate the premises immediately.

7. AFTER HOURS CALL OUT

Guests who require after hours service are to call our emergency number on 0439 908 019. If a representative of Getaway Hunter is required for onsite assistance outside our normal trading hours of Monday – Friday 9am-8pm, that is the result of loss of keys, lock out of accommodation or any issue that arises that is not the responsibility or fault of Getaway Hunter, a call out fee of $100 will be deducted from your security deposit.

8. INSPECTION

The Owner or Management can make an inspection of the premises anytime upon demand.

The Owner and Management takes all care to make sure the property is ready for incoming tenants as advertised. We will not be held responsible if the property does not meet the tenant’s expectations.

9. CHILDREN

Some of the properties advertised may not be considered Child Friendly.  For this reason pre approval of children staying at or visiting a property is required from Getaway Hunter. In the case of approval being granted, constant visual supervision of children is required at all times. The abundance of native wildlife in the area can be a danger to children – please be vigilant. Always keep children at arms-length near water; be advised that there are dams and waterways at some Getaway Hunter properties, as well as adjoining properties, so ensure your children are supervised at all times

10. NO PETS

Animals and pets are not allowed unless agreed in writing in the case of an advertised ‘pet friendly’ property.

11. NOISE

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, parties and functions is prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Use contrary to this agreement will result in termination of access to the property and loss of bond. No music should be played outside of the house and any music and noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Please be respectful of your surrounds and neighbours. Many of our neighbours are permanent residents. Complaints will not be tolerated. 1 strke and you’re out!

12. PERSONAL PROPERTY

The Owner or Management of the premises will take no responsibility for loss or damage to the guest’s personal property.

13. BREAKAGES AND DAMAGES

The guest is responsible for all damages, breakages and loss incurred during the term of your occupancy. These are to be reported, replaced and paid for. This includes lost keys. If all keys are not returned locks will be changed and charged to the guest. This will also include the supply of duplicates.

14. CLEANING

The guest must leave the property in a clean and tidy state including removal of all excess garbage. If the property is not found to be satisfactory upon vacating cleaning costs will be charged to the guest. Should you require assistance in this matter, please make arrangements with Management prior to arrival.

15. LANDLORDS OBLIGATIONS

The owner/manager shall make sure that the premises are in good repair and in a clean and tidy condition on the day it is agreed that the guest shall enter into occupation of the premises.

16. SMOKING

No Smoking permitted inside premises.

17. VACANT POSSESSION

The guest must vacate the premises at the end of the period of letting or earlier upon reasonable demand by the owner or management. Only one warning following a noise complaint will be given. Any further complaints will result in immediate vacation of the premises with no refund. Attendance to a property by security or the police will result in immediate termination of your booking.

18. INDEMNITY

The guest will indemnify the Owner and Management against all liability which might otherwise attach to the Owner or Management and as a result of injury damage or loss. (Personal or proprietary suffered by any person, where such injury damage or loss has been caused by or contributed to by any act or omission of the guest or his agents or invites). These conditions are an agreement between the parties. Any infringement permits the Owner or Management to refuse a key, amend the booking or immediately terminate the booking.

19. REFUND OF SECURITY DEPOSIT/BOND

An inspection by a representative of Management will be done on the day of or day after departure. If found to be left in satisfactory condition the bond will be refunded in full within 7 days. If the property is not left in a satisfactory condition you will be notified and given the opportunity to rectify or have funds deducted from the bond.

 

We reserve the right to change the wording, add to, delete or modify these terms and conditions as necessary and this could happen at any time.
